Milano is served by three airports: Malpensa (intercontinental flights), Linate and Orio al Serio (Bergamo)

Milano Malpensa

From Milano Malpensa you have two options to reach Locarno:

By train via Milano Centrale or Milano Nord

By shuttle bus to Castione-Arbedo (close to Bellinzona) and train to Locarno

You must first reach Castione-Arbedo by shuttle bus external pageMalpensa Express. Reservation is obligatory.
From Castione-Arbedo you can reach Locarno by train.  

Once in Locarno, continue to Monte Verità by following the directions given.

Milano Linate

You must first reach Milano railway station (external pageMilano centrale). A bus departing every 30 minutes (6.05am to 11.45pm) from the arrivals floor connects the airport with the railway station. Tickets can be bought on the bus.

From Milano Centrale you can reach Locarno by train. On the external pageSBB webpage you can find the most convenient train schedule for you.

Once in Locarno, continue to Monte Verità by following the directions given.

Bergamo Orio al Serio

You must first reach Milano railway station (Milano centrale) with external pageshuttle bus.
